Removed and replaced Asphalt Shingles & Components on the house & attached Garage. . The crew completed tear off using the Equipter “ New Roof, No Mess Roofing Buggy” which protects the lawn, land scaping & siding. The tear off consisted of removal of 1 layer of Asphalt Shingles and haul Away. Re-nailed roof decking where needed with 8D nails. Underlayment that was used is Sharkskin Ultra SA Ice & Water Shield (Premium Ice Dam Protection) and GAF Tiger Paw using cap nails . Removed existing rubber membrane and installed 4’x10’PAC clad 24 guage custom bent valley / sidewall flashing. Flashing that was used is quality aluminum ADE34 drip edge and ultimate pipe flashing that will not dry out or crack. GAF Cobra Snow Country Ridge Vent was utilized for attic ventilation. All GAF roof installations by Oakwood Exteriors, LLC feature a 50 year Non-prorated Manufacturer Warranty and a 20-year Workmanship Warranty.
Cleaned the worksite which included blow-off roof surface, cleaned rain gutters & down spouts, magnet sweep yard, landscaping, driveways, & sidewalks. Blew-off Driveway & Sidewalk.
Used GAF woodland designer lifetime shingles. GAF weatherblocker starter strip, GAF timbertex hip & ridge were installed.
Layed drop cloth below interior, removed existing skylight, installed new Velux FS Fixed skylight with laminated Low E-3 glass and EDL flashing kit, wrapped frame with Sharkskin Ice & Water Shield. The skylights that were installed stay clean longer with “Neat” glass coating. The Skylights reduce unwanted outside noise by up to 25% compared to a standard double pane glass and up to 50% compared to a plastic skylight. Unlike tempered, this glass does not shatter into pieces when cracked.
