Roof Replacement - GAF Timberline UHD Asphalt Shingle Roofing System - Nekoosa, WI

Removed and replaced Asphalt Shingles & Components. The crew completed tear off – using the Equipter “ New Roof, No Mess Roofing Buggy” which protects the lawn, land scaping & siding. The tear off consisted of removal of 1 layer of Asphalt Shingles and Haul Away. Re-nailed roof decking where needed with 8D nails. Underlayment is Sharkskin Ultra SA Ice & Water Shield (Premium Ice Dam Protection). New galvanized steel drip edge and ultimate pipe flashing that will not dry out or crack was utilized. Cleaned and re-sealed existing chimney pipe flashing. GAF Cobra Snow Country Ridge Vent was utilized for attic ventilation. All GAF roof installations by Oakwood Exteriors feature a 50 year Non-prorated Manufacturer Warranty and a 20-year Workmanship Warranty.

Cleaned the worksite which included blow-off roof surface, cleaned rain gutters & down spouts, magnet sweep yard, landscaping, driveways, & sidewalks. Blew-off Driveway & Sidewalk.

Installed GAF Timberline UHD Lifetime Shingles (Dual Shadow Line). GAF Pro-start starter shingle strips, GAF Timberline Ultra HD with Dual Shadow Line and GAF Timbertex hip & ridge was installed. Timberline UHD Shingles are up to 53% thicker than our standard architectural shingles. They also help protect the roofs beauty by fighting the blue -green algae that leaves dark black stains behind.

“Had a great experience with Oakwood Exteriors. From Jordan our sales consultant who was knowledgeable and helpful, to the professional crew, was a great experience and I would highly recommend their service for your roof. The crew arrived promptly at 7:30. They moved the equipment into place and went straight to work. Jordan our consultant was onsite, made sure the crew had proper instructions for the job. The crew diligently worked completing the old roof removal, installed the new roof system, and gutter guards. The new roof looks great, and I’m confident I made the right choice hiring Oakwood Exteriors.

Now the real test will be next spring when the snow melts and the spring rains come… but I feel pretty good that our new roof will stand the test of time and Mother Nature. I’ll say price wise they were a touch more, but the value comes with workmanship and quality products.
