The crew completed the tear off – using the Equipter “ New Roof, No Mess Roofing Buggy” and “Catch-All” landscape protection nets which protect the lawn, landscaping & siding. The chute nets are supported by collapsible support poles to lean against the home, migrating any loose shingles down to the ground nets, safely over landscaping, flowers, air conditioners. All GAF roof installations by Oakwood Exteriors feature a 50 year non-prorated manufacturer warranty and a 20-year Workmanship Warranty.
New 7/16 OSB Plywood was installed over the original roof boards.
Sharkskin synthetic ice and water shield provides exceptional winter weather protection. The premium self-adhering barrier was installed 4” up eaves, in valleys, and around all roof penetrations. GAF Tiger Paw synthetic underlayment covered the remaining roof surface and is a critical layer of protection between the shingles and roof deck to resist wind-driven rain. Tiger Paw is a premium-grade underlayment that avoids wrinkling and buckling for a better looking finished roof. As always, the GAF Tiger Paw underlayment was installed using cap nails – a manufacturer requirement.
