Removed two layers of asphalt shingles, installed new 716 OSB roof decking and GAF Timberline HDZ Lifetime shingles in the color Charcoal. The crew completed the tear-off using the “Catch-All” landscape protection nets which protects the lawn, landscaping & siding. All GAF roof installations by Oakwood Exteriors feature a 50 year non-prorated manufacturer warranty and a 20-year Workmanship Warranty.
Removed existing wood soffits on eaves to establish intake ventilation and replaced rotten fascia board on all eaves with new construction lumber. Sharkskin Ultra SA Ice & Water Shield (Premium Ice Dam Protection) underlayment was installed up eaves, in valleys, at roof-to wall intersections and around all roof penetrations. Installed GAF Tiger Paw over the remaining roof surface using cap nails. GAF Cobra Snow Country Ridge Vent was utilized for attic ventilation. Oakwood Exteriors installs a rodent-proof mesh over the ridge opening prior to installing the ridge vent.
Installed white 5” “K Style” seamless gutters and oversized down spouts with 3’ extensions & zip hinges. The zip hinge serves two main purposes: Ensures that downspout extension remains firmly attached and provides the convenience of moving and working around when moving and landscaping.
On the dormers we removed the existing wood siding and installed Mastic Carvedwood Vinyl siding in the color White.
Installed 2-ply LuL front porch support beam with Azek PVC cladding fastened with Cortex hidden fasteners. Cortex hidden fastener plugs tap in the trim for a clean, flush finish and offer a stronger connection than nails.
